Karan Johar is one of the youngest and most successful directors of Indian cinema. Along with this he is also a producer and noted TV celebrity. Karan Johar joined the film industry with a small role in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. He also worked as an Assistant Director with Aditya Chopra for the same film while also selecting Shahrukh Khan's wardrobe and continues to do so till date. Karan Johar made his debut as a director with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The movie went on to win eight Filmfare awards. His second movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham went on to win five awards. He now runs Dharma Productions which was founded by his father late Yash Johar. He now produces many films under the same production house. Some notable ventures are Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kaal. Karan Johar also hosts a TV talk show Koffee with Karan in which he interviews celebrities from the Indian glamour world. Other achievements include, being the first Indian director to be selected as a jury member for the Miss World beauty pageant. He was also chosen as one of the 250 Global Young Leaders by the World Economic Forum.
