Three talented young men decided to come together and compose film music. And they simply revolutionized it with their expertise and experience. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is the renowned musical trio comprising Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendosa. Each of them has a unique talent and is capable of churning out the most surprising piece of music. Shankar is a classic example of the amalgamation of Carnatic and Hindustani vocal while Ehsaan has a deep understanding of fusion. Loy is the lord of musical instruments and virtually rules an electronic synthesizer. These individual strengths combined and formed a magical team of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy got their first break in form of Mukul Anand's 'Dus'. But due to the untimely death of Mukul Anand, the film could not be completed. Fortunately for Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music of the film was released and became a huge success. 'Shool' and 'Mission Kashmir' - The next assignments for them were a achievement too. But what took their popularity to unprecedented levels was the extraordinary music of 'Dil Chahta Hai'. With the film, it was proved that these three stalwarts are capable of delivering chart-topping music.
