Archita was born in Bhubaneswar city. She has completed her schooling from D. M School. She is also a talented Odissi dancer who has also won National Scholarship in dance. In 2004, she was crowned as Miss Kalinga. Her first Oriya film is 'O My Love' in 2005. To her credit she has many superhits and 100 days blockbusters. Archita has won laurels in acting, modelling and social works. With her acting, she has walked away with The best New Comer and Best Actress Awards. She is the new, yet established face in Oriya Films. She is currently studying B. Tech in KIIT University. She is presently the State level Ambassador of UNICEF and Govt. of Orissa for "Eradication of child labour". She is also the ambassador of JUNIOR RED CROSS
